Norris Choplin Schroeder Donates Over 100 Toys to Children in Need

The Norris Choplin Schroeder family finished out another great year by collecting 106 toys for WISH-TV’s WISH Tree Drive.  This year, the donations benefited the Indy Public Safety Foundation, which distributes toys to kids in need around the Central Indiana area.
Nearly every NCS employee contributed in the effort to provide holiday joy to children in our state.
The week before the collection date, NCS tweeted at WISH-TV each day, alerting the local news outlet to the wide variety of toys under our office tree.  See our Twitter page here.
On December 7, 2016, WISH-TV Daybreak anchor, Scott Sander, Daybreak meteorologist, Randy Ollis, WISH-TV’s Ethan Butt, and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Sergeant Kendale Adams came to the office to collect the donations.  Members of the Indianapolis Fire Department, IMPD, and Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services accompanied the team.  EMS brought an ambulance that served as “Santa’s Sleigh” for all of the toys.  Watch video of the NCS family on WISH-TV here.
NCS was the first stop of the morning for Scott, Randy, Ethan, and Kendale, who continued on to collect more donations from other generous businesses throughout the city.
When interviewed by Scott Sander about staff participation in the toy drive, NCS partner Scott Harkness described the experience after making the firm’s contribution last year, “What was even more rewarding is that our staff saw what we were doing and jumped in with their own amazing generosity.  This year, based on our employees’ previous generosity, we upped our contribution and have yet again been blown away by the increased generosity of our staff.  They make it easy for us to continue this worthy contribution.”
This was the second year that NCS has participated in the Tweet for Toys campaign, and we look forward to helping spread joy in our community for many years to come.
