Mock Trial Competition

NCS attorney, Bruce Kamplain, participated as a judge in four rounds of the State Finals of the Indiana Bar Foundation’s Indiana High School Mock Trial Competition held in the courtrooms of the City County Building in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 4 and 5, 2017. The high school students participating in this program gain invaluable experience thinking critically on important social and political issues and articulating positions on behalf of their fictional clients. The students act as attorneys advocating their clients’ positions before an actual attorney sitting as judge in the courtroom.  Other students submerse themselves into other personas to act as witnesses called to testify in the courtroom.  This program provides a great preview of America’s leaders of tomorrow. If you are an Indiana lawyer, you should plan on volunteering in the future.
